Doug Stinson announces candidacy for District Decide

Local legal professional, Doug Stinson of Benton, has introduced his candidacy for District Judge of the 26th Judicial District Court docket of Louisiana, which includes Bossier and Webster parishes. Doug is married to Lauren Tanner Stinson and they have three little ones, Ainsley, Tanner, and Hallie. They are users of Cypress Baptist Church.

Doug obtained his undergraduate diploma from LSU in 2004 and gained his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Regulation diploma from LSU Law School in 2008. After graduating from law school, Doug and his household returned to Bossier Parish exactly where he began his legal job.

In 2012, Doug was sworn in as an Assistant District Attorney in Bossier Parish and was assigned to the juvenile division.

In 2014, Doug was moved into a frequent prison division at the District Attorney’s place of work and has successfully attempted numerous felony jury trials together with murder conditions, attempted murder, rapes, armed robbery, and medications and firearm scenarios. Doug is a remarkably respected prosecutor that is acknowledged for his powerful work ethic and his enthusiasm for standing up for victims of crime, specially victims of violent crime and women of all ages and young children.

Given that his authorized vocation began, Doug has maintained a civil legislation exercise wherever he has acquired comprehensive expertise in oil and gas regulation, residence law, successions and wills, household law, and general civil litigation. Doug has successfully argued before the Louisiana Next Circuit Courtroom of Charm and has represented purchasers in federal courtroom.

Doug is also the Town Legal professional for Benton and serves as in-residence counsel at the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Business office. Doug is a frequent teacher at the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Training Academy. Doug is a member of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, where by he has served as a member of the Board of Administrators.

Doug arrives from a prolonged line of Bossier Parish public servants. His father, Ford Stinson, Jr., is a retired District Courtroom Decide. His grandfather, Ford Stinson, served in the Louisiana Residence of Associates.
